Oct. 21st, 2004 04:39 pmSoooo. this is my first attempt at writing a fan fiction for Hellsing. It may be really bad so don't expect greatness or even goodness. I'm hoping for mediocrity. No hopefully it will be good. This is only the first chapter and I'm not really sure where it is all going. The fic is a drama in which Seras faces both some Alucard's attentions & the loss of her humanity because she has to make a hard decision to surrvive. She & Alucard will ummm consumate their "relationship" but it won't be sap. It will be dark & hopefully twisted but not smut ( not more then an R rating). It is set one year after Alucard turned Seras. It may be AU because who knows what Khota Hirano will write. First paragraph is really just thoughts & conversations. In fact I think it is the prologue.
Not Like You (temporary title - may change) - Prolouge...
Seras Victoria sighed as she looked at the blood red moon over the trees. She was standing in a forest just out side the Hellsing mansion. It felt so good for her to be outside on such a nice warm night. Sometimes the young vampire tired of being inside. It seemed like she was always stuck inside her cold dark room, unless she was out killing vampires for the Hellsing Organization. There was a warm breeze blowing through her hair. Boy did that bring back memories: sitting with mum and pop and drinking homemade lemonade on the back porch, she and her mom talking about where they would go on their next holiday, while her dad told stupid jokes that they pretended to laugh at. Bloody hell – those were the days. Seras didn’t mourn the loss of her human life often, but on a night like this, it was hard not to. Besides it had been exactly one year since her Master, Alucard, had thrown her life into disarray by offering her a choice of death or becoming a vampire. Some “choice” that had been. He had merely asked her if she was a virgin. After she said yes he had put a giant hole through her lungs with his sliver bullets and killed her. Then, the Undead King, asked her, as she lay dying, if she wanted to die or come with him. He certainly hadn’t told her what being a vampire meant and the price she would pay. Seras wondered if she had it to do all over again, would she choose death this time? If she did, she might be in heaven with her mum and pop. But, then she never would’ve met the only man she ever loved, Pip. No, having Pip in her undead life was worth the price she paid as a vampire. As tears of blood filled her eyes, she asked herself and maybe even God, why did Pip have to die?
Alucard, the Vampire King, saw his fledging, Seras Victoria, standing at the edge of the forest. Integral wasn’t home and he was bored to tears. Maybe he could have fun tormenting his servant. He grinned evilly as he thought about her. She was a complex case, his vampiric child, and he had mixed feelings about her. The Police Girl had become quite powerful in the past year. He never would’ve thought she would be able to defeat Jolean on her own. On second thought, of course he did. If the girl didn’t have it in her to become a Vampire King, he never would’ve made her a blood relative. But, Alucard was still irritated by her refusal to let go of her humanity. Why would she cling to weakness when by letting go, she could be so much more? Perhaps she was letting go bit by bit. It certainly wasn’t fast enough for his liking. He may have find a way to help her rid herself of its burden. But, the question was how.
As Alucard was lost in his thoughts, Seras sensed her Master coming towards her before she saw or heard him. Perhaps that was an additional benefit of being a bloodsucker.
“Good evening, Master,” Seras greeted her Master.
“Yes, Good evening, Police Girl. And just what are you doing outside by yourself on such a nice night.”
Seras smiled. “Just enjoying the stars Master. I kind of like being outside without having to kill anything”
Alucard smirked widely. “Perhaps you are speaking too soon, Police Girl. You never know – you may have to kill me.” Alucard spoke with malice in his voice.
Seras giggled. “Like I would ever stand a chance fighting against the great Alucard.”
He thought about her statement. Right now it was certainly true but if she were to let go of her humanity and become a true Vampire King, he wondered. “Someday you will, Police Girl. That is, if you ever decide to drink my blood, Seras Victoria. Honestly, I don’t know why you cling to your pathetic human weakness.”
“Master, I don’t know it is just that I uh, umm, not sure what, it would feel like I might---” “Police Girl stop your pathetic mumbling!”
Alucard changed his tone of voice from an angry parent to a seductive lover. “ Are you ever going to drink my blood? Why is it that you like being in servitude to me?”
Seras was stunned. Was it her or was there a tone of innuendo in her Master’s voice? “I have been thinking about drinking your blood Master. And I want to I’m just not, um, ready.”
“You had better ask me soon or I may change my mind about sharing my blood with you. Stop acting like a pathetic human.”
“Master! I’m not pathetic so don’t say it!”
Alucard thought about it. “At least you’re not completely weak.”
Seras smiled. That was as close to a compliment that she had gotten in weeks. As she looked over at Alucard, she realized she had forgotten just how handsome he was. It was easy to forget because he was such a monster on the inside. At times, the ugliness on his inside distored his attractive features. But, tonight, he was devastatingly handsome. Alucard wasn’t wearing his red hat tonight, so the warm summer breeze blew his long silky black hair, back. His long red coat was blown open by the wind, revealing his slender body. Seras blushed at her impure thoughts. This was her Master, after all and he certainly didn't think of her that way.
Alucard had to stifle a chuckle as he left his fledging's mind. So the Police Girl thought he was handsome but --- a monster. This was delightful, simply delightful and a most interesting development. Alucard looked at the Police Girl. She certainly wouldn’t be his first choice to bring into his bed. No that would be Integral. But, in the past few weeks she had made it abundantly clear that was not going to happen. Integral was so damn stubborn and she had her Hellsing pride. He would crush it one day but now was not the time. Perhaps the Police Girl could be a pleasant distraction, in the meantime. In fact she would be the most delicious diversion from his eternal boredom. Seras Victoria was becoming more powerful everyday. He looked inside her mind to find the memories of his child drinking the young Captain’s blood so savagely and ripping apart Joleen. The thought of it all was quite intoxicating. If he seduced her, it would also be her first time. He would delight in stealing her innocence. Perhaps along with her innocence, he could steal her humanity as well.

By the way - if you need me to edit any of your stuff I can. I had fun editing Nothing but Shadows and I have Microsoft Word reinstalled. ^___^
