new anime...lurv it

captainecchi had mentioned it in her LJ. When I read it was another anime based on a classic literature but with a vampire storyline I just had to check it out. The name of it is Gankutsuou and is based on The Count of Monte Cristo. Animation is done by Gonzo. OMFG the animation is OUT OF THIS WORLD. The skin, hair, clothes, all has so many textures. The colors, the art is so b-e-u-tiful. Why Gonzo did not animate Hellsing the way they did this show is beyond me. The charactars are interesting too. It seems the Count & Albert may have a Aubrey/RuthVen type of relationship. And the Count is SO dark. It is very sexy. I must now download the rest. Too many animes to download. Still am downloading Samurai Champloo and am not even halfway through. Now I have to read go to the library to read the novel.
