*blushes* Thank you so much for all of your great feedback. I need to go back and change a few of the grammar/word errors that you had found in some of the chapters. Thanks for catching them. I kind of proofread in a hurry because I wanted to get it submitted. Even if I don't place in the contest, I'm really glad you had the challenge and I wrote the fic. This is so different then anything I've written and I love anything samurai. I think it helped stretch me as a writer. Although, Hellsing is more comfortable for me, I enjoyed writing this. I like looking at what happens to physically strong characters who become weak.
You had asked about Shino. She is in episode 11 and guess you could say is the only canon pairing in Samurai Champloo. There are a few flirtations with Fuu & random guys and Mugen lusting after women but Jin is the only one who "got lucky." *grin* I think it was after that episode that I became obsessed with Samurai Champloo and Jin.
I'm thinking of trying a different fandom for next months challenge.
